Team presentation topic 2024

The main topic to be addressed during the week of designathon, which was proposed for this year, is formulated as follows:

What are the main advantages that can be identified and what are the problems or questions that need to be solved so that the young specialists of various industries in Europe consider that the development project of the new industrial park under consideration is really interesting for them, so that they seriously evaluate the possibility of connecting their life and professional career with Tukums county in the next 20 years of growth?

In order to discuss the topics raised this year and find solutions, the work is planned in 6 creative working groups. Each participant invited to the designathon chooses one working group in advance by remotely applying for group work. All designathon participants have one common task to solve and present in each working group's separate 25-minute presentation.

In its separate presentation, each working group presents its perspective on the proposed solution to the main theme of the year, looking at it in focus through one of the 6 sub-themes. In its interrelated creative process, the participants of the 2024 designathon will provide a comprehensive view of the year's topical theme, combined with 6 sub-themes.

The management of the municipality will present an award to the working group that has seen the most activity and creativity throughout the week, and whose 25-minute presentation will be the most attractive, original, futuristically saturated, but based on ideas that can be implemented reliably in the future.

The organizers of the event will collect all the obtained materials, as a result of which they will publish a single report on the benefits of the 2024 designathon, by publishing the materials on a digital website, as well as in printed form at an exhibition that can be visited in person in the municipality.
