Sunday. Day off. Arrival of foreign guests.

Foreign guests with AirBaltic, Zurich 19:20 – Riga 22:45. Transportation of ten ETH students from Riga Airport to Slokenbeka hotel, Milzkalne, Tukums region, www.slokenbeka.lv All participants, both Latvian and foreign, have familiarized themselves with the common goals to be achieved before the event and have chosen the relevant working group in which to actively and creatively participate.

11. NOV.

Meeting of all participants in the conference hall of Slokenbeka manor from 08:30 to 09:30. Registration of participants until 10:00 in the morning. Recommended train route for Latvian participants, from Riga station at 07:39 to Milzkalne station at 08:53. At 10:00 designathon opening speeches. From 10:30 to 16:30, a joint trip to the most characteristic places of Tukums region by shared bus. Simultaneous meeting of creative team members in person, distribution of work schedules, exchange of ideas.

Bus departure at 10:30.

We will be in Kandava at 11:00, we will look at the technical school https://www.kandavastehnikums.lv/

12:45 Janis Mazitans, head of the association of Kandava and parishes, TIC, about the county's second largest city.

We will enter the square of Jaunmoku Palace.

We will meet at Tukums town hall at 14:00, we will walk around the city center.

Then we will go to Tukums airport and the territories of the Industrial Park.

From Durbe Castle to Slokenbeka manor around 17:00.

12. NOV.

Recommended train route for Latvian participants, from Riga station at 07:39 to Milzkalne station at 08:53. Start of work for creative groups at 09:00 in the morning in the presence of mentors. Consultations of municipal specialists, short presentations for all groups, individual answers on issues in the county: education, communal economy, social issues, territorial planning, transport, tourism, culture and entertainment, opinion of the municipal management.

11:00 Arta Rosicka, Tourism Information Center, presentation, environmental quality of municipal territories, neighborhoods and eco-tourism, nature views in summer and winter.

11:30 Katrina Lagzdina-Sprudza, architect of the municipal administration, presentation, territorial planning and development opportunities.

13:00 lunch break.

14:00 – 17:00 creative work of teams.

13. NOV.

Participants who depart from Slokenbeka will be met in the conference hall from 08:30.

10:00 departure with our bus, route along the Riga metropolitan circle, Tornakalns - Kipsala Knowledge Mile, in the context of the Tukums - Riga train route. Crystallization of ideas in teams, exchange of opinions.

10:45 Kipsala, Science and Innovation Center of Riga Technical University, familiarization with the offered educational and start-up support opportunities.

12:30 lunch break.

13:30 Academic Center of the University of Latvia, near Tornakalns railway station.

15:45 Jurmala city, Dubulti station, a place for a potential design festival in the coming years, municipal cooperation projects, let's look at the seaside beach and the coast of Lielupe, a convenient place for cooperation between Tukums, Jurmala and Riga.

17:30 we return to Slokenbeka Hotel.

14. NOV.

12:00 Andris Ritenis, company Silu Kudra, presentation, entrepreneurs and economic environment of Tukums region, export, growth goals and problems.

13:00 lunch break.

14:00 Janis Brinkmanis, association AIROPOLIS Smarde, presentation, Tukums county industrial park development strategy 2023 – 2040.

15:00 – 17:00 creative work of teams.

15. NOV.

(day preferably in person)

9:00 to 11:30 polishing and compiling the presentations prepared by the creative teams into a single presentation file.

12:00 Andris Kulbergs, chairman of the Saeima Parliamentary Investigation Commission on ensuring parliamentary control of the Rail Baltica project, will speak with a presentation - Rail Baltica and the potential of Tukums. The context of the industrial park and airport railway connection.

13:00 the performance of the creative teams begins with a 25-minute presentation time for each team.

14:00 lunch break.

15:00 continuation of presentations of creative teams.

17:15 presentation of diplomas and awarding of the best team according to the vote of the municipal jury.

17:30 to 19:30 networking activities for participants of the final event at Slokenbeka.

16. NOV.

Saturday. Day off. Informal conversations.

In the morning at 08:30 to 11:00 simple breakfast brunch at Slokenbeka manor for all working group members. Informal discussions about the achieved results, joint viewing of the pop-up exhibition of the creative process. Until 14:00 handover of all created materials, texts, mockups, drawings, sketches, presentations to the management of the designathon event organizers, both in material and digital format. At 15:00, a joint departure to the old town of Riga by train (Milzkalne 15:27 - Riga 16:38) for a friendly evening.

17. NOV.

Sunday. Day off. Free step of group members.

The creative teams, together or separately, according to their own plan, visit the parishes of Tukuma region or further places using public transport. The recommended website for planning transport is www.1188.lv/en/transport or by consulting designathon management. The last three trains in the evening from Riga to Tukums: (Riga 21:39 Milzkalne 22:53), (Riga 22:54 Milzkalne 00:06), (Riga 23:49 Milzkalne 01:01).

18. NOV.

Monday. Day off. Foreign guests to the airport.

Designathon management www.airopolis.lv early in the morning at 04:00 provides transportation of foreign guests from Slokenbeka hotel to Riga airport. AirBaltic, Riga 07:05 – Zurich 08:40.
